Reatech will have a sports court with 32 hours of uninterrupted activities and presence of Paralympic athletes

Idealized by the Sports Association for the Disabled, space will feature paradesportive championships and presence of Brazilian national team athletes

São Paulo, June 2019- The main fair of the sector of orthoses, prosthetics and special materials for people with disabilities offers visitors an experience that goes far beyond business with the 300 exhibiting brands. To endorse the growth of this market, the ADD – Arena Sports Space will have uninterrupted activities during the 16th Reatech – International Fair of Technologies in Rehabilitation, Inclusion and Accessibility. The project is a partnership between Cipa Fiera Milano, organizer and promoter of the event, and the Sports Association for the Disabled (ADD). The actions take place simultaneously to the fair, between the 13 and 16 of June, in the São Paulo Expo Exhibition & Convention Center, in the city of São Paulo.

The main purpose of space is to show the work of ADD in an interactive way. “Visitors can participate in the amateur championships and have a more human contact with the reality of the sport for the disabled. Reatech is the ideal space for the public to get to know and experience sports activities, and with 32 hours of activities, all free, everyone will have the opportunity to participate, “says Eliane Miada, president of ADD.

Besides the possibility of the public being able to participate actively in the activities, there will be professional tournaments of Wheelchair Basketball and Sitting Volleyball. The tournaments will be attended by athletes of the Brazilian National Team.

Paralympic athletes will also be present at the Arena: Rio 2016 Athletics medalists Alan Fonteles, Odair Silva Yeltisen Jackes and Tamiru Damasi, and Basketball Gelson Junior, Pedro Vieira, Rodrigo Aaron, Glebe Candido, Amauri Viana and Nilton Pessoa. Paralympic swimmer and world record holder Daniel Dias also confirmed his presence.

The partnership between ADD and Reatech has been going on for more than 12 years, and the great success comes from the volume of industry visitors and sports lovers who identify with the attractions. “The fair generates a large demand for people interested in participating in sports activities. For ADD, Reatech is a great way to get our work to the disabled and non-disabled public. Bringing world-renowned athletes shows how the Paralympic sport is respected and deserves visibility, “concludes Miada.
