On September 3 and 4, Tec Fisio | TO \u2013 Seminar on Advanced Technologies in Physical Therapy and Occupational Therapy hosts eight experts, always from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., at the S\u00e3o Paulo Expo<\/em><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/em>S\u00e3o Paulo, August 2022<\/strong> \u2013 Physical therapy and occupational therapy activities will have a prominent space at the 17th Reatech \u2013 International Fair of Technologies for Rehabilitation, Inclusion, and Accessibility.<\/p>\n

During the days of September 3 and 4 takes place the Tec Fisio | TO \u2013 Seminar on Advanced Technologies in Physical Therapy and Occupational Therapy,<\/strong> organized by the Regional Council of Physical Therapy and Occupational Therapy of the 3rd Region (Crefito-3).<\/p>\n

The meeting will address topics such as \u201cThe role of the physical therapist in inclusive education\u201d; \u201cWheelchair skills training\u201d; \u201cAssistive Technology and Innovation\u201d; \u201cExoskeleton and neurotechnologies for rehabilitation\u201d; \u201cMetaverse and Virtual Reality in rehabilitation\u201d; \u201cCare Management and Telerehabilitation in Musculoskeletal Pain\u201d, among others.<\/p>\n

\u201cParticipating in the 17th edition of Reatech, besides being revolutionary, will be proof of how much these professions have been innovating in science and technology. It is a way to strengthen these areas so that users, patients, and clients can receive technological updates,\u201d comments Dr. Merllin de Souza, delegate of Crefito-3 and organizer of the seminar. \u201cBesides, it is a way to empower Physical Therapy and Occupational Therapy students so they can also drink from the fountain of knowledge regarding innovations in their future professions.\u201d For Crefito-3, the expectation is that the meeting can help professionals and students implement the content of the lectures in their professional practices.<\/p>\n

Those who visit the fair can also enjoy other content that will be presented during the four days of the event. This year, the following are planned: Pet Course <\/strong>\u2013 Animal-assisted therapy, Equine-assisted Therapy Workshop,<\/strong> o Reamed<\/strong> (Congress of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation), Reatech Congress<\/strong> and Reashow<\/strong> \u2013 Expositores Seminar.<\/p>\n

In this 17th edition, Fiera Milano Brasil, the event's organizer, expects to bring together at least 300 exhibiting brands and welcome over 52,000 visitors to showcase market innovations and promote the inclusion of people with disabilities.<\/p>\n

The trade fair is the leading event in the sector in Latin America and hosts employment agencies specialized in people with disabilities and reduced mobility, as well as segments such as trained animals, adapted vehicles, hearing aid manufacturers, special equipment, hospital supplies, prostheses and orthoses, alternative therapies, tourism and leisure, the pharmaceutical industry, and wheelchair manufacturers, among others.<\/p>\n

Worldwide, more than 1 billion people currently need assistive technology. To give an idea of the innovation capacity within this market, there are more than 130,000 patent applications related to conventional and emerging assistive technologies between 1998 and 2020, according to a report by the World Intellectual Property Organization of the UN (United Nations).<\/p>\n
