The Superior Court of Justice (STJ) is holding, until June 16, a public consultation for the revision of its Accessibility and Inclusion Policy for People with Disabilities or Reduced Mobility.<\/p>\n

Participation in the survey can take two forms: through a\u00a0form<\/strong>\u00a0(external link)<\/span><\/span><\/a>, accessible also to people with complete visual impairment, or by\u00a0email<\/em>inclus\u00e3o@stj.jus.br<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n

The consultation initiative follows the recommendation of the booklet\u00a0How to Build an Accessible Environment in Public Organizations<\/em>, created by the Accessibility Network, which suggests the participation of the external public in the formulation of policies and their periodic review.<\/p>\n

Court actions to promote equality<\/h2>\n

The STJ's Accessibility and Inclusion Coordination explains that the purpose of the survey, in addition to validating the principles, guidelines, and objectives of the new policy, is to uphold the motto \u201cNothing about us without us,\u201d giving people with disabilities the opportunity to express their opinions on the revision.<\/p>\n

According to the coordination office, the new policy will guide the activities of the Court of Citizenship in promoting the social inclusion of people with disabilities or reduced mobility, seeking to guarantee the exercise of fundamental rights and freedoms under conditions of equality.<\/p>\n
