The spaces, inaugurated this Monday (19), were set up in the boarding areas with the goal of generating greater comfort for autistic children.<\/p>\n<p>The spaces feature special lighting, activity panels, bubble columns, acoustic ceiling cladding, and custom-designed furniture.<\/p>\n<div class=\"cnnTeads\">According to the Minister of Ports and Airports, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cnnbrasil.com.br\/tudo-sobre\/marcio-franca\/\">Marcio Fran\u00e7a<\/a>, a third lounge is set to open soon in Vit\u00f3ria (ES). \u201cMany airports have been concessioned. The model can be copied by these airports.\u201d<\/div>\n<p>Therapists and representatives of organizations will be available to the children. The spaces are expected to start welcoming the public within 10 days.<\/p>\n<h2>On the autism spectrum<\/h2>\n<p>O\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.cnnbrasil.com.br\/tudo-sobre\/transtorno-do-espectro-autista\/\">autism spectrum disorder<\/a>\u00a0(ASD) is a neurodevelopmental condition defined by difficulties in communication and social interaction and the presence of repetitive or restricted behaviors or interests.<\/p>\n<p>Although the symptoms form the core of the disorder, the severity and presentation in each individual are variable, according to the Brazilian Society of Pediatrics (SBP).<\/p>\n<p>The disorder is permanent, with no possibility of a cure, but early diagnosis and intervention help change the prognosis, soften the symptoms, and enhance the quality of life.<\/p>\n<p>The cause of autism spectrum disorder remains unknown.
