There are four courses in the fields of Administration and Technology. In addition to Greater S\u00e3o Paulo, more than 300 spots will be opened at the Rio de Janeiro, Belo Horizonte, and Joinville units. Due to the pandemic, classes will be online with some in-person meetings. IOS will provide internet access to students exclusively for accessing the course platform.<\/em>
\nThe Social Opportunity Institute (IOS) has just opened 840 spots in the Greater S\u00e3o Paulo region for free professional training courses for adolescents, youth, and people with disabilities. Registration must be completed at the link\u00a0http:\/\/cursosios.wixsite.com\/edicaoespecial<\/u>\u00a0by August 31st.<\/strong>
\nThere are four available courses in Business Administration:\u00a0Business Management (ERP-TOTVS) and<\/strong>\u00a0Customer Support (Zendesk)<\/strong>\u00a0and in the Technology area the courses are:\u00a0Programming<\/strong>\u00a0e\u00a0Infrastructure<\/strong>,\u00a0Computer assembly and maintenance<\/strong>. It is of\u00a0Business Management (TOTVS ERP),\u00a0<\/strong>completely free, including uniform and educational materials.
\nClasses will be held online with some in-person meetings at IOS units, complying with health and safety protocols against the pandemic. Internet access will be provided to students exclusively for accessing the online class platform.
\nLasting four months, the course prepares students between 15 and 29 years old (who are attending or have completed high school, preferably in the public school system) for the job market in the field of Administration. In addition to Greater S\u00e3o Paulo, IOS has over 300 openings for courses in the Rio de Janeiro, Belo Horizonte, and Joinville units.
\nThe course includes administrative concepts with practical classes in\u00a0software<\/em>, Digital Education, Portuguese and Mathematics, Employability, Citizenship and Behavior (Soft Skills), in addition to concepts and practices regarding corporate life, where students learn how to draft emails, make presentations, participate in meetings, develop business acumen, and even brief a product.
\niOS Opportunity Program<\/strong>
\nAt the end of the course, graduated students can participate in the\u00a0iOS Opportunity Program<\/strong>, which seeks job openings primarily among the institution\u2019s partner companies, as well as opportunities for university-level education at partner institutions. Over the course of its 22-year history, IOS has trained more than 36,000 professionals for the Information Technology, Administration, Human Resources, and Retail Customer Service sectors, increasing these families\u2019 income by approximately 40%.
\n\u201cThe pandemic has challenged us to continue the technical training of future professionals, a demand that has become even more urgent and necessary. Young professionals need to be prepared to meet companies\u201d demands for skilled labor during and after the pandemic, since the Technology sector, for example, continues with selection processes and hiring,\u201d says IOS superintendent Kelly Lopes.
