In the week the Paralympic Games were set to begin, the prosthetics of the future are the subject of the film and are already coming very close to the present, in laboratories.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

The film \u201cProtesys\u201d, directed by Afonso Poyart, has been released on the internet. Flavio Reitz plays himself \u2013 the best amputee high jump athlete in Brazil \u2013 and stars alongside actor Cau\u00e3 Reymond, who plays a journalist curious about a company testing revolutionary prosthetic technology.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

More than just restoring human body movements, super limbs are capable of perfecting them. In the world of Paralympic sports, technology has helped boost athletic performances at a breakneck pace.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Despite this, the sport has put a brake on technology. Electronic components, for example, are not allowed in prosthetics used in competitions. To truly know what is most modern in this sector, we need to head to laboratories.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
