On September 3 and 4, Tec Fisio | TO – Seminar on Advanced Technologies in Physical Therapy and Occupational Therapy hosts eight experts, always from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., at the São Paulo Expo
São Paulo, August 2022 – Physical therapy and occupational therapy activities will have a prominent space at the 17th Reatech – International Fair of Technologies for Rehabilitation, Inclusion, and Accessibility.
During the days of September 3 and 4 takes place the Tec Fisio | TO – Seminar on Advanced Technologies in Physical Therapy and Occupational Therapy, organized by the Regional Council of Physical Therapy and Occupational Therapy of the 3rd Region (Crefito-3).
The meeting will address topics such as “The role of the physical therapist in inclusive education”; “Wheelchair skills training”; “Assistive Technology and Innovation”; “Exoskeleton and neurotechnologies for rehabilitation”; “Metaverse and Virtual Reality in rehabilitation”; “Care Management and Telerehabilitation in Musculoskeletal Pain”, among others.

“Participating in the 17th edition of Reatech, besides being revolutionary, will be proof of how much these professions have been innovating in science and technology. It is a way to strengthen these areas so that users, patients, and clients can receive technological updates,” comments Dr. Merllin de Souza, delegate of Crefito-3 and organizer of the seminar. “Besides, it is a way to empower Physical Therapy and Occupational Therapy students so they can also drink from the fountain of knowledge regarding innovations in their future professions.” For Crefito-3, the expectation is that the meeting can help professionals and students implement the content of the lectures in their professional practices.
Those who visit the fair can also enjoy other content that will be presented during the four days of the event. This year, the following are planned: Pet Course – Animal-assisted therapy, Equine-assisted Therapy Workshop, o Reamed (Congress of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation), Reatech Congress and Reashow – Expositores Seminar.
In this 17th edition, Fiera Milano Brasil, the event's organizer, expects to bring together at least 300 exhibiting brands and welcome over 52,000 visitors to showcase market innovations and promote the inclusion of people with disabilities.

To give an idea of the innovation capacity within this market, there are more than 130,000 patent applications related to conventional and emerging assistive technologies between 1998 and 2020, according to a report by the World Intellectual Property Organization of the UN (United Nations).
