The State Secretariat for the Rights of Persons with Disabilities is offering the free issuance of the Identification Card for Persons with Autism Spectrum Disorder (CipTEA) at its booth at the ReaTech 2023 fair.
The ID card is an official document that facilitates the identification of a person with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) in public and private services throughout the state of São Paulo, in addition to helping guarantee rights provided by law, such as priority lines and services.
To issue it, you must present the following documents: a photo ID, a 3x4 cm photograph, proof of address, and a medical report certifying the diagnosis of ASD with the ICD code, date, signature, and professional registration number (CRM) of the responsible physician.
According to a statement from the department, the official document is of utmost importance for people with ASD because it helps with identification and rights provided by law, such as priority lines and services in public and private facilities throughout the State.
