The electric Ford E-Transit 100%, equipped with access for two wheelchair users, is unveiled in Brazil

The van has a battery installed in the floor, so as not to interfere with the interior space, and was designed in accordance with the specifications of the Brazilian Association of Technical Standards (ABNT).

Ford presented in Reatech Brazil 2023 – International Fair on Inclusion, Accessibility, and Rehabilitation, held October 4–7 in São Paulo, featuring an adapted E-Transit van—electric vehicle 100%—with access for two wheelchair users.

The van, which was displayed at the event for the public, was designed to meet the standards of the Brazilian Association of Technical Standards (ABNT). According to the automaker, the vehicle features factory connectivity, as well as standard semi-autonomous driving equipment and systems, which minimizes the risks of unforeseen breakdowns.

100% Electric

It is equipped with a 68 kWh battery, which allows for a range of 317 km (measured by the WLTP method). According to Ford, the vehicle in the cargo van version is already undergoing testing in the fleets of major companies in Brazil and South America. In its conventional (non-electric) version, the E-Transit is the best-selling van in the world.

The adapted vehicle has a battery installed on the floor, precisely so as not to interfere with the cargo space. According to Ford, the model that was exhibited at Reatech is a long-wheelbase, high-roof van (L3H3), implemented by the company Alpha6, from São Paulo, with support from the engineering team at Ford Pro, the brand's commercial vehicle division.
