The importance of accessibility everywhere is already a consensus.
But it is not always possible to find suitable conditions for those with mobility difficulties.
Mindful of this, Sinal Link Acessibilidade, one of the 300 exhibiting brands at the 16th Reatech – International Fair of Rehabilitation, Inclusion and Accessibility Technologies, is launching products for the hotel segment in the national market in 2019.
According to Marcos Alencar, the company's commercial director, “the goal is to make environments accessible to everyone.” “The products can be purchased in assembled kits, according to the establishments” needs, and feature the differential of being able to be used according to demand, as they are portable and can be offered at check-in, ensuring the durability of the equipment.” The target audience for these solutions is people with hearing impairments.
Generally, when thinking of an accessible hotel room, Alencar points out, people only think of a bathroom suitable for people with reduced mobility or who are in a wheelchair, but all disabilities must be taken into account. “We work on adaptations for all disabilities, but the solutions we are presenting do not yet fully exist on the national market,” he explains.
The SL Basic Kit will include features such as a vibrating alarm clock, a mobile telephone call volume amplifier, a wireless light and sound sensor for signaling doorbells and phone rings, and a light sensor for signaling door knocks. “Our products comply with Decree 9296/2018, which stipulates the requirement for accommodation establishments to offer architectural accessibility, technical assistance, and accessibility resources,” explains Alencar. “In addition to all these benefits, the kit provides a more pleasant experience for guests, and the solutions help hotels meet legal requirements.”.
The director of Sinal explains that the main goal of these solutions is to serve hotels, inns, and other lodging locations.
But remember that its use can also be extended to other commercial establishments and residences. “The great advantage of this type of solution is making the communication experience faster, easier, and safer,” he says.
Alencar anticipates that “at Reatech we will demonstrate the products and give lectures to prove the importance of accessibility in the architectural, attitudinal, communicational, and digital dimensions.”.
