The City Hall is participating, from the 20th to the 23rd of this month, in the 19th edition of Reatech – International Fair for Inclusion, Accessibility, and Rehabilitation. The event will take place from 10 AM to 7 PM, at São Paulo Expo (Rodovia dos Imigrantes, km 1.5 – Vila Água Funda), in the southern region of the capital.
With the goal of promoting accessibility and the quality of life for people with disabilities, Reatech brings together major brands and exhibitors from various sectors such as hospital supplies, financial institutions, tourism, and rehabilitation technology companies, among others.
During the event, the teams from the Municipal Secretariat for the Person with a Disability (SMPED) will be providing customer service at a booth where it will be possible to ask questions, obtain information, and access services aimed at people with disabilities in the capital. At the same location, a lawyer, a social worker, and members of the Municipal Council for the Person with a Disability (CMPD)—a body that represents this population before the City Hall—will guide interested parties on municipal public services and register citizens with disabilities.
A Mobile Workshop van will be parked near the booth offering free maintenance and repairs for wheelchairs, prosthetics, orthotics, and mobility aids such as crutches, canes, and walkers. To receive assistance, individuals must be residents of the city of São Paulo and have equipment compatible with the SUS network, as well as present a photo ID and the National Health Card (SUS). The service is an initiative of the municipal departments for the Person with Disabilities, Health, and the Association for Assistance to Disabled Children (AACD).
