Company offers assisted lifting system for wheelchair users

Accessibility, treatment, and freedom for people with disabilities. This is the main proposal of Lift Aid, a company specialized in lifting and care systems, which brought to Reatech 2023 its products whose main objective is to provide a better quality of life for wheelchair users.

The company has developed transfer lifting systems for wheelchair users, similar to a hoist, in which the person is placed in a sort of basket, with complete safety, and transported from the wheelchair to the bed and vice versa. The system also allows the person to move around inside the house by means of tracks that form circuits defined by the user themselves.

“We have the bed-to-wheelchair transfer system and also the module used for gait training and body weight suspension, which is widely used in physical therapy and the rehabilitation of patients who are confined to their homes. It is a technology that responds to voice commands and can be installed throughout the entire house, so a person with mobility issues can move around easily, in addition to doing medical exercises safely, explains Ana Paula Navarro, CEO of Lift Aid.

The company designs the installation of the device, made of a lightweight material, according to the characteristics of the property. The system features straight and curved sections and customizes the path according to the patient's needs. The tracks, which trace the circuit this person will follow through the house, are installed on the walls. “We also customize accessories, such as the vest and the basket, all according to each person's needs, observing height and weight,” Navarro concluded.
