Six automakers bring news for people with disabilities at Reatech 2019
In addition to the adapted equipment, visitors will also have the opportunity to test drive the vehicles exposed
São Paulo, June, 2019 – Maintaining a tradition in the fair for several editions, the main car manufacturers will be at the 16th Reatech – International Fair of Technologies in Rehabilitation, Inclusion and Accessibility, which starts next Thursday (13) and continues until Sunday (16) at the São Paulo Expo. In addition to the news that will be exposed by brands such as Volkswagen, GM and Toyota, people will also be able to participate in the test drives that will be held during the four-day event.
At its booth, Volkswagen of Brazil will present models for the PcD (People with Disabilities) audience, such as Polo Sense, Virtus Sense, Voyage and Tiguan automatic, as well as T-Cross Highline.
Focusing on this public, Volkswagen bet on the launch of vehicles such as the Novo Polo, Virtus, Gol and Voyage, with automatic transmission. The manufacturer increased sales of vehicles for PdC in the first five months of 2019, a growth of 45% compared to the same period last year. “Volkswagen is one of the fastest growing automakers in the PcD segment.Marking at Reatech shows the relevance that the brand attributes to the segment and registers its responsibility with the satisfaction of all customers.This is the New Volkswagen, a more agile company , efficient, innovative and even closer to its public, “says Leonardo Tosello, executive manager of Corporate Sales of Volkswagen do Brasil.
Representatives of the Volkswagen Dealership Network, which are part of the Fleet Center Program (concept of exclusive service for direct sales, in which people with disabilities are included), or who have a good number of sales in the segment, and Volkswagen Bank professionals, which will offer financing plans with terms and attractive rates for this audience, will also be present at the event.
General Motors will present its Cruze, Cobalt, Equinox, Tracker, Onix and Spin models with a wheelchair ramp. Some will be available for test-drive. Dealers and GM Bank will be present at the brand’s booth for those who want to purchase a Chevrolet at the fair. “In addition, we will have information from HR for people with disabilities who are interested in working at GM,” says Kleber Cruz, regional manager of Direct Sales at the automaker.
Toyota will expose the Toyota Yaris (hatchback and sedan), Corolla and Prius models. In addition, there will be a test-drive lounge, where visitors can drive the Yaris, Etios, Corolla, SW4 and Prius models, with the possibility of testing some of the cars with adaptations of pedal inversion and accelerator and manual brake.
Partners of 16 years
In this edition of Reatech, the automakers Toyota, Honda, Volks, Jeep, GM and Renault are present, besides the companies that make adaptations for people with disabilities.
Of extreme importance in the fair, the automotive sector participates 16 years of the event. This confirms the interest of the automobile sector in people with disabilities, who consume more than 7 thousand cars per year. “Some visitors got to buy cars directly from the booths of the automakers in the last editions, paying in cash values above R $ 30 mi,” says Ripa Sipas, commercial director of Cipa Fiera Milano, promoter and organizer of Reatech.
