O Coloplast Ativa it is a free educational program, complementary to the care provided by healthcare professionals, that offers personal support and personalized care to people who perform intermittent catheterization or who have an elimination ostomy (a surgical artificial opening, temporary or permanent, in the abdomen).

In addition, all program participants—both current and new—who visit our booth will receive a special gift containing samples of the SpeediCath Compact Set hydrophilic catheter, which allows users to perform intermittent catheterization anywhere, as it is compact, easy to carry, and easy to store. “The entire SpeediCath line features an exclusive coating that facilitates insertion and removal from the urethra, reducing the risk of urinary tract infections and urethral injuries, thereby improving quality of life,” notes Renata Oliveira, Head of Consumer and Digital Channels at Coloplast.
Some important facts
According to the Brazilian Society of Urology (SBU), approximately 10 million Brazilians have urinary incontinence problems[1], which, unlike incontinence, is caused by the physiological non-emptying of the bladder due to spinal cord injuries and neurogenic bladder, among other causes. It is estimated that there are about 400 thousand people with some type of stoma in Brazil[1], the latter of whom are considered, by law, to have physical disabilities (PCD). However, this does not prevent these people from engaging in physical activities, working, traveling, and enjoying events with Reatech-Brasil.

ABOUT THE COLOPLAST ATIVA PROGRAM
Coloplast Ativa is a free global program, complementary to medical care, that provides personal support, personalized care, and guidance on how to access the brand's products via the public health system (SUS), health insurance, or retail. In addition, the program also provides a kit with free samples for people with ostomies and those who perform clean intermittent catheterization. Thus, we provide support to the patient from the very first moment of rehabilitation until the reestablishment of their routine and the resumption of their quality of life. In Brazil, we have already served more than 100,000 ostomy users and more than 15,000 who perform intermittent catheterization.
