Lectures on inclusion, diversity, accessibility, human resources, and corporate health in organizations make up the event's program, which will take place from October 4 to 7 in São Paulo.
The president of the National Dwarfism Institute (INN), Juliana Yamin, and the leader of the We Are All Giants movement, Gabriel Yamin, will be present at the 2nd Reatech Congress on Inclusion and Accessibility in the Labor Market. The two were invited to participate in the training panel with the theme “Training Programs for People with Disabilities Focusing on Career Development and Structuring.” The lecture will be held on October 6 (Friday) at 6:00 PM at the São Paulo Expo. The Congress, held within Reatech, has independent registration and a schedule running from October 4 to 6.
Juliana Yamin highlights the importance of the debate on training and careers for people with dwarfism. “Within the context of people with disabilities, a person with dwarfism still struggles to be recognized as a person with a disability. Bringing the agenda of dwarfism into an important congress and discussing employability and accessibility is essential. We need to place people with dwarfism in this prominent position within the disability community. And that's what we want to talk about. About the particularities of people with dwarfism in this context that need to be observed and, above all, demystifying the stereotype of the person with dwarfism who only holds jobs involving humor, and not always with technical quality,” she adds.
Curated by Blue Ocean Events and Consolidar, the Congress will bring together professionals connected to Inclusion, Diversity, Accessibility, Human Resources, and Corporate Health from organizations across the country. “The main challenge in promoting the inclusion and accessibility of people with disabilities in the labor market is understanding which aspects limit this group. And this limitation generally does not lie in the disabilities they present. Cultural issues and worldview are essentially what act as barriers in society,” adds Paulo Serra, Innovation Director at Blue Ocean.
Among the topics on the congress agenda, the following also stand out: “Discussion on Government Policies for Inclusion in the Labor Market and their practical application in organizations” and “Strategies for Promoting an Inclusive Organizational Culture”.
