In its 18th edition, the International Fair for Inclusion, Accessibility, and Rehabilitation aims to bring new horizons to people with disabilities.
São Paulo, October 2023 – A Inclusion and diversity can make a difference in the results of companies and brands. It is with this purpose that Reatech – International Fair of Inclusion, Accessibility and Rehabilitation has joined forces with a legion of partners and volunteers so that the 18th edition of the event brings new horizons to the 18.6 million people with disabilities in Brazil, according to IBGE. The event will be open to the public on the coming 4th and will run until October 7th at São Paulo Expo, with over 50,000 visitors expected.
Companies and institutions such as ADD (Sports Association for the Disabled), Consolidar, Gati Equotherapy, AME / Icom, Laramara, National Dwarfism Institute, Hand Talk, Equalweb, Yanez, ABNT, Crefito 3, Abem (Brazilian Multiple Sclerosis Association), Doctors Without Borders, and the Jô Clemente Institute are part of this important network of partners.
The trade fair is the leading event in the sector in Latin America and hosts employment agencies specialized in people with disabilities and reduced mobility, as well as segments such as trained animals, adapted vehicles, hearing aid manufacturers, special equipment, hospital supplies, prostheses and orthoses, alternative therapies, tourism and leisure, the pharmaceutical industry, and wheelchair manufacturers, among others.

Multi-sport arena the Association of Sports for the Disabled (ADD) will be at Reatech with a 1,300m² sports arena, specially set up for a series of activities on all days of the event. There will be 30 hours of activities, featuring a 3x3 basketball tournament in honor of Steven Dubner, founder and advisor of ADD, as well as demonstrations of sitting volleyball, rugby, boccia, athletics, goalball, soccer, among others.
“Knife in the Chair” Circuit: throughout all days of the event, visitors will be able to participate in extreme sports activities, among them WCMX presentation by the Faca na Cadeira athletes, adapted curling open to all people with disabilities and ASD, presentation featuring Valdir de Souza, professional WCMX athlete representing Brazil in two world championships, along with other amateur athletes from the Faca na Cadeira project.
TEA Space exclusive area to welcome people with autism spectrum disorder, where they can rest and have a more private moment with their family members or companions.
Reatech Hub: In this fair environment, congresses and lectures will be held with experts and business leaders in the sector on topics that impact the daily lives of people with disabilities. And news about Reatech can be followed in real time via a projector (Blogger Space) using the event's hashtags.
AcredsCastpodcast of Acreditando featuring people with disabilities who are active in society and in their careers, rehabilitation professionals, and companies in the sector. Centro Integrado Acreditando specializes in the intensive physical exercise program for neuromotor recovery, health, and quality of life for people with neurological injuries.
Doctors Without Borders with the use of 3D glasses, the public will be able to be “transported” to the locations where the program's volunteer doctors treat thousands of people in emergency situations, in cases such as armed conflicts, disasters, epidemics, hunger and social exclusion.
Animal-assisted therapy
Pet Course: takes place on October 6th, from 1 PM to 7 PM, and will present theoretical and practical aspects of Animal-Assisted Therapy (AAT), in which various types of pets act as co-therapists. Visitors will also have the experience of interacting with small animals, including dogs, rabbits, turtles, among other pets in the “Little farm”, which is already a tradition at Reatech. Equotherapy Workshop takes place on October 7th, from 8:30 AM to 6:30 PM, with the participation of educational psychologists, physical therapists, and psychologists. Equine-assisted therapy is a therapeutic method where the horse provides motor and psychological benefits for people with disabilities or who need this work. Leadership training
Parallel to the exhibition area, the 2nd edition of the Reatech Congress on Inclusion and Accessibility in the Labor Market will bring together, from the 4th to the 6th, professionals linked to Inclusion, Diversity, Accessibility, Human Resources, and Corporate Health in organizations from all over the country. Among the themes on the congress agenda, the following stand out: “Debate on Government Policies for Inclusion in the Labor Market and their practical application in organizations,” “Strategies for Promoting an Inclusive Organizational Culture,” and “Training Programs for People with Disabilities focusing on Career Development and Structuring.”.

On the 4th and 5th, the REAMED Congress takes place. The congress will address topics such as rehabilitation, assistive technologies, virtual reality in the future of rehabilitation, research and development, and advances in the treatment of motor disorders, among other subjects.
The event is curated by Dr. Edgard Morya, Manager of the Edmond & Lily Safra International Institute of Neuroscience (IIN-ELS) of the Santos Dumont Institute (ISD) in Rio Grande do Norte, and features other prominent names in medicine and rehabilitation.
