Among the mobility solutions presented by the House Orthopedics at Reatech 2024, stands out the Spacemed motorized wheelchair. The equipment features Bluetooth driving, which allows safe steering by someone other than the user, in the case of the elderly and people with cerebral palsy. In addition to its innovative design, the folding system makes it easy to open or close automatically, allowing the user to store it anywhere. The wheelchair generated great interest among the public, and those attending the fair were able to ask questions and test the product.
For Luciano Santos, commercial director of Casa Ortopédica, participating in Reatech gives companies the opportunity to understand user demand and the outlook for the coming months and years. “Here we get a sense of how the country's economy is doing. For us, it’s great because the user gets to know the product and plans for a future purchase,” states Santos.
Another company that was at the event was Genius, an importer of assistive technology equipment. During the fair, wheelchair-using visitors were able to take a free test with the XSensor, a mapping system to evaluate surface pressure, and choose to purchase a new cushion according to the patient's specific needs. In addition, the company launched the Sentinel at Reatech, exclusively in Brazil. The device, connected to an air cushion and through an application, is able to calibrate and adjust the air in the cushion. It is recommended to help people with physical disabilities and limited hand mobility, as it controls air pressure, preventing pressure injuries (bedsores).
“Being at Reatech brings the product we have, the technology, closer to the patient who is the ultimate consumer.
