Between November 7 and 8, an event will bring together experts and professionals for a deep dive into innovation, healthy aging, and advanced therapies
Rehabilitation has been going through one of the most exciting and challenging phases in its history. With the advancement of technology and the maturation of science applied to human care, physical therapists and occupational therapists are facing new frontiers — where virtual reality, gamotherapy, neuromodulation, and manual therapies unite with the sensitivity and empathy that have always defined these professions. It is in this scenario that emerges the TECFISIO/TO Seminar, one of the highlights of the programming of 20th Reatech and Brazilian Paralympic Expo, which will take place between November 7 and 8 (Friday and Saturday), from 11 AM to 6 PM, at São Paulo Expo. The meeting promises not only to present the latest scientific and technological advancements, but also to provoke deep reflection on the human role behind health innovations.
“In times when people's physical and emotional health is under so much stress, discussing technology in rehabilitation is discussing quality of life and hopea. We live in a time where care must go hand in hand with science. TECFISIO/TO is a space for overcoming limits, both technical and human.”, highlights Maurício Macedo, CEO of Fiera Milano Brasil, the organizer of the trade fair.
Technology and sensitivity: a new perspective on care
Held during Reatech, the TECFISIO/TO Seminar is recognized for integrating different areas of knowledge and bringing together professionals committed to the advancement of rehabilitation in the country. Curated by CREFITO-3, in this edition, the event expands its themes, exploring everything from rehabilitation with virtual reality to new approaches in manual and occupational therapies, showing that the future of health involves the interaction between body, mind, and technology.“TECFISIO/TO is a meeting place between the most modern and the most human aspects of rehabilitation. The exchange of experiences and collective learning are hallmarks of this seminar”, states Dr. Raphael Martins Ferris, president of Crefito-3.
Among the highlights of the program is the lecture “Technology at the Service of Health: Applications of Gametherapy and Virtual Reality in Rehabilitation”, with Dr. Alberto Luiz Aramaki, which will present real use cases of virtual environments and digital resources as allies in patient engagement and the optimization of clinical outcomes. Meanwhile, the Dr. Suely Yanez will bring the theme“The Power Beyond Sight”, with notable experiences in Occupational Therapy focused on visual impairment, revealing paths to autonomy and sensory development.
Therapies that unite science, emotion, and purpose
The seminar will also make room for approaches that rescue individualized and comprehensive care. Dr. Adriana Sarmento de Oliveira Cruz will give the lecture “Manual and Complementary Therapies in the Cardiovascular System: New Physical Therapy Paradigms”, with an updated look at practices that balance the physical and the emotional. Meanwhile, the Dr. Cíntia Yuri Nakao will present“To Live Longer and Better: Choices That Transform”, a panel full of practical tips and reflections on health, habits, and well-being, especially focused on aging with a high quality of life.
In the field of Occupational Therapy, the Dr. Ana Maria Gomes Paim will address“Possibilities of Occupational Therapy in the Rehabilitation of Traumatic Brachial Plexus Injuries”, sharing clinical experiences and evidence on how interdisciplinary practice can restore autonomy and movement to patients in highly complex situations. In addition, the seminar will feature accounts on education and accessibility in physical therapy, debates on digital tools in fibromyalgia, and new perspectives on the role of physical therapy in runners with herniated discs, topics that reinforce the breadth and relevance of the meeting.
A space to learn, inspire and transform
More than just a technical seminar, TECFISIO/TO is an environment for dialogue and collective construction. By bringing together physical therapists, occupational therapists, professors, students, and researchers, the event creates a network of living learning, where knowledge is transformed into practice and practice inspires new discoveries. This exchange is part of the essence of Reatech, recognized for promoting an environment that unites science, inclusion, and humanization.
TECFISIO/TO is a convergence point among professionals who believe in the power of innovation to transform lives. Each lecture, each story, and each exchange of experience reaffirms the commitment of a community that seeks to evolve not only technically, but also emotionally. As summarized by the Dr. Raphael Ferris, “Quality rehabilitation is born from knowledge and empathy. When we bring together professionals who believe in this, we create an ecosystem of transformation — and TECFISIO/TO is exactly that: a gathering of minds and hearts committed to human well-being..”
Over its two days, the seminar will reaffirm that true innovation happens when technology serves life. A reminder that, in rehabilitation, the human touch and attentive gaze remain irreplaceable — even amid the digital tools and scientific advancements that shape the future of healthcare.
