Reatech brings fun and entertainment as an aid to early childhood education

Reatech brings fun and entertainment as an aid to early childhood education

At the 17th edition of Reatech, companies are presenting educational materials and sensory tactics to the event's audience to improve the communication and learning of little ones.

The Sports Association for the Disabled promoted this Saturday (Sep 3) the ADD festival with the participation of the characters Monica, Jimmy Five, Dorinha, and Luca – the latter two with special needs – from Monica's Gang, in order to publicize the Children's Sports Initiation Project within the ADD sports arena. The festival is aimed at reinforcing the need for sports practice as a way to help individual, social, and emotional development through sports.

“Our proposal for the event is to bring the public to experience and live out parasports modalities, and this also includes children with autism, as the lack of opportunities for their inclusion in sports is still very high,” states Eliane Miada, Founder and President of ADD.

Focusing on accessibility and social inclusion, Ciranda Cultural brings the Pingue Pongue imprint, which was born within the Group. Through books and educational toys, the imprint provides playful and transformative experiences. At Reatech, the company demonstrates, through attractions such as Brain City, a sensory experience involving the five senses and emotions, explaining how the brain works and how people deal with emotions. The booth features partners who assist with more assertive communication in Brazilian Sign Language (Libras), as well as tactile flooring and panels.

In the context of education, Pingue Pongue positively stimulates the expansion of consciousness and gets people out of their comfort zones, creating relationships with other companies in the segment. For Clécia Aragão, CEO of Grupo Ciranda Cultura and the imprint, “being at Reatech is very gratifying and enriching, because it is precisely at this event that, as CEO and owner, I see that it is possible to take yet another step toward social inclusion, and to create spaces where everyone can feel welcome.”.

Brinquelibras, a manufacturer of inclusive education products and pedagogical materials in Brazilian Sign Language (libras), Braille, and accessories for people with disabilities, is showcasing its major new product at the event: the memory panel. The product aids in cognitive development through visual pieces featuring different images that can be swapped out as the child progresses in the game. The panel also includes three Braille and libras kits, featuring the signs corresponding to the figures to facilitate children's learning in a playful way, which can be purchased separately.

“We work with a range of toys focused on pedagogical development, and one of our projects in development is a material entirely geared towards autism, which will be one of our highlights for the next edition of Reatech,” states Dione Santana, communications director.

A New Adapt, a company focused on adapted furniture and equipment for occupational therapy and physical therapy, is betting on stations and foam shapes for sensory integration in this edition of the event. The stations are customized rooms featuring equipment covered in lycra for child containment, swings, and objects with different textures that work by stimulating the integration of information through senses, sensations, and experiences. “Many treatment clinics for Autism Spectrum Disorder work with this technique, which is sensory integration with the treatment protocol we produce in our equipment,” says Silvio Augusto, director of Newadapt.
